Chuck Hales—founder of another MN-based machine tool distributorship—and his son, Dan, opened Hales Machine Tool, Inc. in 1983. Tim joined the firm in 1984, Randy joined in 1989, and Julie in 1993. In 1990 the company moved to a 13,100 sq. ft. facility in Plymouth, MN, and now employes 22 highly trained sales, service and support personnel. In 2008, Dan (President), Tim (V.P.) and Randy (Sales Mgr.) Hales bought out Chuck, and now own and manage the family business.

Our new-product lines include: DOOSAN INFRACORE, the 3rd largest machine tool builder in the world and Fanuc’s #1 customer. They are the maker of the PUMA series lathes along with VTLs, bridge mills, vertical and horizontal machining centers.
BROTHER, the worlds fastest and most reliable machine tool built on the planet. They are imported by Yamazen, who also is the importer for Mitsubishi, Daito saws and Takisawa.
We recently have signed a contract to represent the entire UNITED GRINDING TECHNOLOGIES who is the world leader in every avenue of grinding.
